The 2012 iPad 3 is the third and latest version of the iPad, a tablet computer designed, developed and marketed by Apple Inc. Primarily it serves as a platform for games, music, movies, books, web content and many more.
Like its previous generations, the new iPad had two models, a Wi-Fi only model and a Wi-Fi+ 4G model. Both the models have a lithium-ion polymer battery that lasts up to 10 hours, a new dual-core graphics, a 5 mega pixel 1080p rear-facing camera, and a VGA font-facing camera designed for the FaceTime video calling. The device also boasts a QXGA (2048*1536) display, four times the resolution of an iPad 2.
The retina display on the new iPad makes everything looks crisper and more lifelike. Text looks razor sharp. The photos and videos are rich with details. The new iPad also features a 5 megapixel iSight camera with an advanced optics, a backside illumination sensor, auto white balance, and face detection for incredible still images.
The new iPhoto app joins GarageBand and iMovie to complete the iLife family for iPad. Designed with next gen wireless technology, the new iPad with Wi-Fi + 4G connects to fast data networks around the world, up to 4G LTE. Thus, the users can download content, stream videos, and browse the web at amazing speeds.
