Shopping For Free At CVS - CVS Freebies - Saved $43

My three boys were in need of a trip to the playground, and since we were working against the sun, I had to rush out of the door this morning before it got too hot. Before I headed out of the door I quickly checked Simply CVS and discovered that Cheryl had posted a CVS freebie alert. I have been busy catching up after our family vacation, so I had not gotten around to putting together any grocery lists for this week. I quickly printed out the free CVS product coupon, skimmed through the $1 or Less deals at CVS, printed out Cheryl's list, grabbed a couple of coupon inserts and that was it. Completely unprepared I was planning on heading to CVS after the playground, as CVS is right next to it, and when you walk you need to make the most out of your walks.

While I was unprepared for coupon shopping, I was very prepared for the playground, and my boys had a blast until it got too hot for them. Fortunately we had both water and snacks with us, and the playground is in the shade. While my boys were playing, I loooked through the coupon inserts, Cheryl's CVS deals list and slowly but steadily my CVS shopping trip was coming together. As always, there were a lot of "ifs"....meaning if CVS had the product in stock. I had several coupons that were expiring today including $1 off Softsoap Pampered Hands coupons, and the last times I had checked the soaps were not yet in stock. I was hoping to get in on the CVS gas card deal this week, but the $2 Huggies coupons that were advertised were not in my local paper this weekend.

Today I lucked out, as the Softsoap Pampered Hands hand soap were in stock, the CVS freebie coupons that Cheryl had posted about also printed, and I was off to a great start.
