Infidelity and hot dogs led to 'Teen Mom 2' split

Why did Leah lose her love for Corey? Dr. Drew found out on the "Teen Mom 2" reunion special.

By Drusilla Moorhouse, E! Online

For such a tumultuous season, "Teen Mom 2" sure went out with a whimper last night.

After Jenelle and Kailyn's reunion "checkup" with Dr. Drew Pinsky last week, it was Leah and Chelsea's turn on the couch.

So much has changed in the girls' lives since this show was taped last year that tonight it often seemed like we were re-watching the last season of "Lost." Fortunately, we did learn some juicy new tidbits -- like the real reason for the breakdown in Leah and Corey's marriage....

LAST WEEK'S RECAP: Who got an STD?

Beef hot dogs.

Sure, other factors -- cheating, lack of intimacy -- contributed to their divorce, but obviously Corey had checked out of this marriage when he came home with beef hot dogs instead of "pork and chicken." (Is this a West Virginia specialty?) "You said I hurt your feelings," said Corey. Well, obviously! He couldn't have hurt her more than if he'd hooked up with Robbie himself.

MORE: Out with the "old," in with the new: Meet the new cast of "16 and Pregnant"!

Another reveal? Leah not only cheated with her ex-boyfriend a week before her wedding, but she hooked up with him at her bachelorette party! We're not here to judge -- after all, Robbie could've jumped out of a cake with his arms full of pork and chicken hot dogs, and who could resist that?

Dr. Drew, almost as upset as Leah about the couple's breakup, finally persuaded Corey to go to therapy with Leah, and they've since reconciled ... in Dr. Drew's dreams! Leah is now engaged to marry someone else, who will probably insist on a joint bachelor-bachelorette party before their wedding.

RELATED: Finally, Amber Portwood can be reunited with her false eyelashes!

The only revelation in Chelsea's "checkup" was Dr. Drew's baffling man-crush on Adam, Chelsea's immature baby daddy. "He's actually changed," the doctor insisted about the notoriously abusive texter who once referred to their daughter Aubree as a "mistake."

The Adam-smitten doctor even encouraged the couple to express their love on national TV. Since we're not members of the Adam Fan Club (Drew Pinsky, president), and know that Chelsea is now reportedly involved in an MTV crossover romance with a Caged MMA fighter, we didn't join the audience's collective "awww."

PHOTOS: "16 and Pregnant" season 4: Meet the cast!

Did Chelsea get her GED? Will she and Adam continue this unhealthy attract-and-repel relationship? Will Leah's mom start forcing depo shots on all the teenage girls of Kanawha County? Guess we'll have to wait until the next season of Teen Mom 2 to find out!

What did you think of last night's final finale? Where do you stand on beef vs. pork-and-chicken hot dogs? Tell us on our Facebook page.

Use Our Bloomberg Based Securitization Audits To Stop Foreclosure In Florida

Rates of foreclosure in Florida remain the highest in the country, with the percentage of loans that are foreclosure mortgages or at least 90 days past due being between 12% and 19%, second only to Nevada which has a similar number of foreclosure mortgages.? This illustrates how Florida homeowners have not had very much in the way of good news for a very long time.? However, thanks to the recent AG mortgage relief settlement that has predatory lenders such as Bank of America, JP Morgan Chase Citi, Ally and Wells Fargo admitting to using flawed and abusive practices when pursuing foreclosure in Florida and other states, things may be looking up.

However, there are still millions of homeowners that are facing foreclosure in Florida because of the actions of these predatory lenders.? The harm they have inflicted with foreclosure mortgages on unsuspecting homeowners will take a lot more than a mortgage relief settlement to make right.? Homeowners who have been dealing with foreclosure Florida need more.? They need justice, and Tila?s Bloomberg based securitization audits are exactly what homeowners who have been fighting foreclosure in Florida need to make sure these monsters don?t escape with just a slap on the wrist.

For years these lenders have taken advantage of you by employing stall tactics that would deny qualified homeowners Loan mod while at the same time keeping the rates of foreclosure in Florida up.? Time and time again, lenders would tell homeowners to be patient while they denied their initial application and forced them to start the entire process over again while at the same time preparing foreclosure paperwork in order to cause homeowners to fall victim to foreclosure mortgages.

Tila?s Bloomberg based securitization audit is the best way for homeowners who have been fighting foreclosure in Florida to really fight back against the banks to save their home and get real justice for all the hardship these predatory lenders have been putting you through.? As they admitted in this recent settlement, many homes facing foreclosure in Florida have been securitized incorrectly, which means nobody has a clear idea who has a legitimate claim to the property.? If the banks are trying to foreclosure on a property that has been securitized incorrectly, then that is an illegal foreclosure and you have every right to take these predatory lenders to court and sue them so you can get the justice you deserve.

This is why if you need foreclosure help, you should not hesitate to contact Tila Solutions to give you the foreclosure help you need.? For over a decade, Tila Solutions has been looking out for the homeowner with their forensic loan audits and Bloomberg based securitization audits.? If you need help stopping foreclosure, a Tila Solutions Consultant is available by telephone at (702) 508-0335.? Or you can visit the Tila Solutions website at foreclosure mortgages,

Messi gives Barcelona 2-1 win at Atletico Madrid

By JOSEPH WILSON

Associated Press

Associated Press Sports

updated 8:56 p.m. ET Feb. 26, 2012

BARCELONA, Spain (AP) -With Barcelona's faint Spanish league title hopes fading, Lionel Messi scored from a crafty free kick late on to give Barcelona a 2-1 win at Atletico Madrid on Sunday and keep his team in the chase.

Despite its first away victory in three games, Barcelona is still 10 points adrift of leader Real Madrid thanks to Cristiano Ronaldo's superb back-heeled goal in his team's hard-fought 1-0 win at Rayo Vallecano earlier.

After Radamel Falcao had canceled out Dani Alves' opener for Barcelona, Messi caught Atletico's players unawares while they were trying to form a defensive wall by looping a perfectly placed shot into the far side of the net in the 81st minute.

Messi's own bit of brilliance took his league tally to 28 goals- one behind Ronaldo's 29.

"A leader is someone who steps up when the team needs him and Leo has been doing that for the past four years," said Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola, who also acknowledged that his team's shot at winning a fourth straight league title since he took charge is slim.

"I don't believe we will win the league. But I hope we will compete like we did today and that we will compete in the Champions League and Copa del Rey final."

Barcelona dominated possession from the start at Vicente Calderon stadium, patiently probing for a way through an Atletico team on a nine-game unbeaten streak since the arrival of coach Diego Simeone.

Xavi Hernandez, on his return to Barcelona's starting 11, came close in the second minute while Messi had a goal disallowed shortly after for using his hand to control the ball. It was the Argentina forward's fifth yellow card, meaning he will miss next week's match against Sporting Gijon.

Barcelona finally broke through with Dani Alves' goal in the 36th. Messi set up the goal by drawing in a swarm of defenders at the top of the box before laying the ball off, allowing Cesc Fabregas to cross to the far post for the Brazil right back to fire home.

"I saw the space open up after my teammates' fantastic combination and I scored off a great set-up by Cesc," Dani Alves said. "Winning in stadiums like this one strengthens you moving forward."

Atletico pressed for an equalizer after halftime. That came four minutes later when striker Falcao knocked in a poor clearance by Sergio Busquets for his 15th goal of the league campaign.

With the score level, the game turned into an up-and-down contest marred by fouls that favored Atletico's more aggressive style.

The hosts looked set to keep Barcelona winless in three straight away games until Messi saw the chance for his 43rd goal of the season in all competitions. The three-time Ballon D'Or winner executed the long-range strike from the left to perfection, his shot leaving goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois to look on helplessly.

After Rayo had outplayed its crosstown rivals in the first half, Ronaldo pounced on a loose ball in the area and flicked it through a pack of defenders with his back to the net in the 54th minute to give Madrid its ninth straight away victory.

"It was a great goal," Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas said. "I saw the back-heeled shot and I didn't think it was going in, but it was a great touch of class that he pulled out of nowhere."

Rayo, which entered the game on a three-game winning run, almost went in front before halftime when Francisco "Piti" Medina latched onto a pass, cut back and sent a rising shot off the post.

After the break, Madrid gained control and soon went ahead when Ronaldo scored his 37th goal in all competitions this season.

The game, however, swung back in Rayo's favor in the last 15 minutes to keep the result in doubt until the final whistle.

Miguel "Michu" Perez slipped while shooting and sent the ball high in the 73rd. Two minutes later, Jose Casado's long blast forced Casillas to stretch and tip the ball wide, and Emiliano Armenteros had a great chance to equalize but failed to convert in front of an open net in the dying moments.

"Rayo didn't deserve to lose," said a gracious Jose Mourinho, who gave credit to his defense. "A draw would have been fair because they were a fantastic opponent. If we hadn't played so well in the back we wouldn't have won."

Also on Sunday, it was: Villarreal 2, Athletic Bilbao 2; Valencia 1, Sevilla 2; Osasuna 2, Granada 1 and Real Sociedad 1, Mallorca 0.

Don't let sullied payment history hold you back

Don't let sullied payment history hold you back

Robert Griswold
Inman News?

Q: My boyfriend and I had a great studio apartment for one year. It was our first place and we loved buying all of the little household items that make a house a home. I had a great job and, even though I was the only one working, my credit was good.

Then just a few months after we moved in, I was fired from my job and my boyfriend was still looking for work. I was unemployed for four months, but we still managed to pay rent, just not on time.

I finally got a low-income job and we struggled the rest of the year to pay rent. We paid partial rent throughout the month when we had some cash but not once did we pay the mounting late fees. Our landlord was sympathetic and ultimately waived the late fees, but said we couldn't renew our lease because of late payments.

We currently live with our parents and want to get another place soon because now we both have decent-paying jobs. How hard is it going to be to find another place because of our past rental history, even though we can afford to pay rent on time? Do you have any suggestions for us?

A: As many have learned in the last few years, building up your credit worthiness and the ubiquitous FICO score can take a long time, but can be destroyed very quickly. Of course, timing is a key component. The U.S. has just gone through a business cycle in which credit was clearly extended to too many people. Whether that is the fault of the borrowers or the lenders is the great debate now.

But at this time and with the economic downturn swinging the "easy credit" pendulum to the "tight credit" side, you are certainly not alone with this challenge. I am sure that you are anxious to get back to having a place of your own and it can be difficult to find yourself back home with your parents, but a lot of patience will be required.

I would suggest that you live below your means for a while in all aspects of your lifestyle and not just in your housing expenses. Your goal should be to live with your parents and live frugally in all ways until you can save up several months' worth of living expenses. By building a cash nest egg you will then be able to go out and search for a new place with the peace of mind that you can really afford to live there.

You should also be forthcoming with your new landlord and explain your situation. You may be surprised, but my experience is that most landlords are owners of investment property because they went through the same type of process of living below their means and were committed to delayed gratification, a concept that is exceedingly rare these days.

Of course, I am not suggesting that a savvy landlord will be willing to just listen to you describe your newfound financial approach and will hand you the keys! No, he or she will want you to pay a larger-than-normal security deposit to back up your story. You might even have to pay a security deposit that is equal to two months' rent so the landlord can be confident that another job setback will allow him or her plenty of time and the financial protection in case an eviction is necessary.

While I think there are many benefits for you and your boyfriend in my proposed plan, you could also increase your chances of finding a new landlord willing to rent to you if you have a co-signer. You may start out pursuing the "living below your means back at home with Mom and Dad" only to find that times have changed and the house you may have grown up in is no longer big enough.

In that case, your parents may be very willing to assist you as a guarantor or co-signer on a lease that would get you into your own place.

Narrator as Hero | Limebird Writers

I am in the midst of copyediting and critiquing a memoir about a middle-aged man who decided to move in with his twenty-seven-year-old son. This author has a background in education and writes a fantastic observational tale of the ordeal of moving from his large, sprawling house in Georgia to his son?s two-bedroom ranch home in New England. He has a strong command of vocabulary, and he is careful to keep his narrative objective as he describes the setting, his new job, his son?s friends.

Despite the interesting factual plot, I have been feeling like something deeper is missing from his narrative. About twenty pages in, I realized what it was. I?m having trouble connecting to the narrator. I don?t know who this man is, or why I should care about his mid-life crisis at all.

The author is our hero in this memoir. The role of the hero is such that the reader is privy to all his thoughts, ideas, dreams. This helps us to relate to the hero much quicker, more easily.

What do we, as the reader, anticipate when a hero invites us to tag alongside him in his crisis? Don?t we want to see him clearly? Hear his rants? Feel his pain or sorrow? Commiserate with his loneliness, financial burdens, bad luck? Understand his motivations? Root him on to his dreams and goals?

When I bring up comments about the lack of inner story throughout the manuscript, the author gets squeamish. He admittedly is resistant to digging down deep and giving more of his outlook on life, or even, his reasons for moving in with his son and writing about it. He is a teacher first and foremost, and for him to write about himself in his narrative is like visiting a foreign country unable to speak the language.

Maybe I?m barking up the wrong tree, but I?m afraid that without incorporating himself he is missing a beautiful chance to write a book that will stand out from the stacks. When I read a book, I want to connect with the POV character, and in non-fiction such as his the POV character is the author. I want not only to?walk alongside the author as he goes on his daily jaunts, pointing out the various sights of interest, but I want to know what pulls this author forward. I want to know why he?s bothering to share his experience with me, and why should I care?

Outer story might motivate a reader to pick up a book. Inner story is what connects readers to the story and makes them care about what happens from beginning to end. If I want to read his book, it isn?t only because I want to read about a father and son trying to reconnect. It is because I want to read a story that makes a difference to my life in one way or another.

Deal done: Europe seals new $170B Greece bailout

IMF Managing Director Christine Lagarde, talking to Greece's Prime Minister Lucas Papademos on Monday, admitted after the Greek bailout deal was unveiled that "it's not an easy (program), it's an ambitious one."

By NBC News, msnbc.com and news services

Updated at 5 a.m. ET: BRUSSELS -- After months of tough negotiating, Europe and the International Monetary Fund sealed a deal early Tuesday to hand Greece ?130 billion ($170 billion) in additional bailout loans to save it from a default that threatened the viability of the euro, undermining global economic confidence.

The early-hours agreement to avert default comes after negotiators persuaded private bondholders to take greater losses and Athens to commit to very severe austerity measures.

Ministers finalized measures to cut Greece's debt to 120.5 percent of gross domestic product by 2020, a fraction above the target, to secure its second rescue in less than two years and meet a bond repayment next month.

The eurozone and the IMF, which will be providing the money for the new bailout, hope the new program will eventually put Greece back into a position where it can survive without external support and secure its place in the euro currency union. Finance ministers from Greece and the other 16 euro countries meeting in Brussels wrangled until the early morning hours over how that could be achieved.

What does the Greece bond swap bailout deal mean?

On top of the new rescue loans, Athens will also ask banks and other investment funds to forgive it some ?107 billion in debt, while the European Central Bank and other national central banks in the eurozone will forgo profits on their holdings.

The accord, which had been months in the making, seeks to reduce Greece's massive debts on all fronts, with both private and official creditors going beyond what they had said was possible in the past.

But the costs for Greece, in potential loss of autonomy and further strict austerity measures, were implicit from a statement from Eurogroup, which Europe's finance ministers belong to.

A Greek economist talks about a bailout's potential pitfalls before the final agreement is unveiled. NBC's Jim Maceda reports.

"The Eurogroup is fully aware of the significant efforts already made by the Greek citizens but also underlines that further major efforts by the Greek society are needed to return the economy to a sustainable growth path," the statement read. "We reiterate our commitment to provide adequate support to Greece during the life of the programme and beyond until it has regained market access, provided that Greece fully complies with the requirements and objectives of the adjustment programme."

So it was clear that Greece, which kicked off Europe's debt crisis two years ago, was at the very best starting a long and painful road to recovery. At the worst, the new program would push the country even deeper into recession and see it default on its debts further down the line.

"It's not an easy (program), it's an ambitious one," said Christine Lagarde, the head of the IMF, adding that there were significant risks that Greece's economy could not grow as much as its international creditors were hoping.

The austerity measures wrought from Greece are also widely unpopular among the population and may hold difficulties for a country which is due to hold an election in April. Further protests could test politicians' commitment to cuts to wages, pensions and jobs.

So social upheaval was a real risk, Paschos Mandravelis, a political analyst at Greece's Kathimerini newspaper, told NBC News' Andy Eckardt.

"If people in the broad middle class landscape get desperate and feel choked, there is the possibility of some kind of uprising," he said.

"We don't have money...Now our only target is to have food to survive," Greek shopkeeper Michael Ipermahos says about the gravity of the financial crisis. "My advice to my children is to leave Greece, throw away their Greek passports and be a citizen of another country."

A Greek's only hot seller: Tear gas masks

And some economists say there are still questions over whether Greece can pay off even a reduced debt burden.

A return to economic growth could take as much as a decade, a prospect that brought thousands of Greeks onto the streets to protest against austerity measures Sunday. The cuts will deepen its five-year recession, hurting government revenues.

Europe's economy edges closer to recession

A report prepared by experts from the European Union, European Central Bank and International Monetary Fund said Greece would need extra relief to cut its debts near to the official debt target given the worsening state of its economy.

If Athens did not follow through on economic reforms and savings to make its economy more competitive, its debt could hit 160 percent by 2020, said the report, obtained by Reuters.

"Given the risks, the Greek program may thus remain accident-prone, with questions about sustainability hanging over it," the nine-page confidential report said.

Beverly Hills Plastic Surgeon - Beauty, Health and Fitness

?Dr. 90210? was a very popular television show for a while. This reality television show followed the lives of a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon and his family as he performed plastic surgery on the rich and the privileged. It focused on a few different doctors over the course of the show, and it was good entertainment for all. But there are plenty of doctors who were never featured on the show and perform quality work as well. Plastic surgery in Beverly Hills is popular enough to have several television shows dedicated to it, and it is unlikely that this popularity will fade anytime soon.

The stretch of Wilshire Boulevard between Santa Monica Boulevard and Rodeo Drive is littered with plastic surgeons that have made a name for themselves by working on the rich and famous. If you want to find a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon, you can just start by driving up Wilshire. However, before you make an appointment with a plastic surgeon, it can help to expedite your visit if you already have a list of concerns that you want to address with the plastic surgery Beverly Hills center of your choosing. It can help to know exactly what you would like to change about your body, and how you want to change it.

Finding the right Beverly Hills plastic surgeon can be a bit of a challenge. It?s not because there are not enough of them. As we have already discussed, there are plenty of them to be found. The most popular ones often have long waiting lists of patients, and it can be intimidating to walk into the office of a surgeon about whom you know nothing. You can check the internet to see what people are saying about this surgeon before you undergo plastic surgery Beverly Hills. If you don?t find anything bad about him on the internet, chances are he is skilled at what he does.

Once you have narrowed down your list to a few surgeons to choose from, you should have a consultation with one Beverly Hills plastic surgeon at a time. Discuss your concerns with him, and ask for suggestions for solutions. Once you have seen two or three suggestions, it should help you to get a better feel for what kind of plastic surgery Beverly Hills you think is the right solution for you. Then you can go to the doctor of your choice and make an appointment to have the procedure done. It?s just that easy.

Personal Finance: YoBucko talks income for 20-somethings ...

When it comes to handling money, there's no miss of recommendation online, on all from reckoning out a bill to calculating your retirement plan.

But for 20-somethings? Not so much.

And that's a judgment behind YoBucko.com, a new personal financial website directed precisely during those in their 20s. It's a brainchild of Eric Bell, a 28-year-old Washington, D.C., businessman who sees a blank in personal financial superintendence for his generation.

What Bell lacks in years, he's done adult in passion for personal finances. While in college, Bell started money-management workshops during 4 universities in his local Arkansas. After graduating in 2006 ("one of a final organisation of graduates to simply get jobs"), he spent 4 years in a private banking multiplication of Citigroup. Now finishing an MBA module during Georgetown University, he only finished dual years as boss of a Greater Washington, D.C., Jumpstart Coalition, a inhabitant nonprofit that promotes financial preparation in schools.

It all led to November, when he founded YoBucko, that offers recommendation to 20-somethings on budgets, debt, savings, word and more.

This week, he talked by phone about his website and his generation's attitudes on work, holding risks and a recession's durability impact. Here's an excerpt:

For apparent reasons, we like a YoBucko name. Where'd it come from?

I wanted a name that done people laugh. There's so many out there on personal finances though not a lot we can giggle about ... . Real problems come from personal finances. But people aren't receptive to a summary if they can't grin about it.

    Why concentration on 20-somethings?

I concentration on 20-year-olds and adult since we am one. we know a hurdles they're confronting ... . When we was in college, we wanted to take classes on income government though zero was available. ... I'm perplexing to get in front of problems and (help prevent) a lot of what we've seen with credit label debt, bad mortgages, etc.

Like many college graduates, you're saddled with $100,000 in tyro loans, a bequest of finishing your Georgetown University MBA. Does that make we some-more - or reduction - convincing with your audience?

From my perspective, it adds to my credibility. I'm in a trenches with people, not vocalization to them from my ivory tower. Some of a many successful people in a personal financial margin are folks who faced genuine financial issues and got by them successfully. ... So rather than censor behind a contribution and fake to be someone I'm not, we cite to share my story plainly so we can pronounce from experience, not theory.

Student loan debt is estimated to strike $1 trillion this year and take decades to repay. What's your recommendation on tyro loans? And how are we rebellious your possess debt?

Tuition and a rising cost of preparation is a rain of a era ... . (Students) should consider prolonged and tough about since they're going behind to school. If you're perplexing to switch careers or supplement to your stream pursuit skills, there can be a payoff. If you're only going since we don't know what we wish to do, it might not be a best investment.

I've already paid off a cube of my loans, a higher-interest rate loans first. I'm looking during my amends options: obscure seductiveness rates, consolidating loans, income-based amends plans.

For your generation, what are a durability lessons of a recession?

    There are 3 vital takeaways:

? Bad things occur to good people. The retrogression demonstrated this really clearly and instilled a tiny fear in a generation. Prior to a recession, there was an almighty clarity of confidence about a destiny and a potential. The retrogression (gave) us a wake-up call and helped us comprehend that we need to strengthen ourselves by saving for a stormy day, vital next a means and hedging a bets.

? Don't put all your eggs in one basket. People now see how being too strong in one item - either it's genuine estate, stocks, income or 401(k) skeleton - is a unsure proposition. The judgment of diversification creates some-more clarity to a era now than it did before.

? Be skeptical. While there are a lot of good people in a financial services industry, a few bad apples caused a ton of financial problems globally ... . For a generation, it translates into being doubtful of people and companies that sell financial products and services.

Part of a "wake-up call" is environment aside some savings. How do people do that?

People speak a good diversion about saving. But it's like we know you're not ostensible to eat sausage, biscuits and gravy, though we do until we have a heart attack. ... As a country, we've lived by a tiny heart conflict and are finally listening to a fact that we should be prepared if it happens again. ... Look during your 401(k). Set adult approach deposit. Create a bill so we have a image of your income and where it goes any month. (For minute tips, see concomitant box, "12 Ways to Save More Money in 2012.")

According to a new Pew Research Center investigate of 18-to-34-year-olds, a husky economy forced many to pierce behind in with relatives (24 percent) and postpone matrimony (20 percent) or kids (22 percent). Nearly half pronounced they took a pursuit they didn't like only to compensate a bills. How else did a retrogression change your generation?

It's forced us to quell a expectations. That dream home during age 35 isn't likely. ... In 2006, when we got out of college, I'd go hang out with friends and buy drinks and an costly dinner. Now, I'll prepare during home. And that's not a bad thing ... . With careers, we have to have a backup plan. Our clarity of faithfulness (to a company) is left since many of us got laid off. We've seen people remove their homes. Parents are carrying to acknowledge to their kids their residence is being foreclosed on and they can't compensate for college. Or they don't have a income for retirement. It's a frightful time. We came into a universe where all was supposing to us. Many some-more of us are now cynics.

Why start a business in tough times?

It was a distributed risk. I've substantially schooled 10 times some-more from this knowledge than what I've schooled from my MBA. ... I'm not married; we don't have kids. we can means a risk. ... If it doesn't work out, it won't be since we didn't try. we trust in what I'm doing. We've already helped some people. If we can assistance a lot some-more people, it's even better.

Fears of Alabama's immigration law ease and some of those who ...

BIRMINGHAM, Alabama ? Ana Jimenez and her husband were so terrified of being sent back to their native Mexico when Alabama's tough crackdown on illegal immigrants took effect that they fled more than 2,000 miles to Los Angeles, cramming into a two-bedroom apartment with more than 20 other relatives.

Now they are among the families coming back to cities like Birmingham, as the mass deportations never materialized and courts blocked parts of the law. No one knows how many people initially left the state, so it's impossible to say how many have returned. But some illegal immigrants are trickling back, unable to find work elsewhere and missing the place that had been home for years.

Of 18 Hispanic immigrants interviewed by The Associated Press in the Birmingham area, six said they had friends or relatives who had returned to Alabama after fleeing because of the law.

As for Jimenez, she left Birmingham with her husband, father and brother three days after the law took effect. Now, all except her brother are back. Jimenez said through a translator that not much had changed, though she can't reclaim her job at a McDonald's restaurant because managers are checking citizenship papers.

"Everything is the same. I just can't work now," Jimenez said through a translator. She said the family is living off the income of her husband, who installs carpet and flooring.

The Obama administration, immigrant groups and others sued over Alabama's law, and the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals is set to consider arguments about it on March 1. The U.S. Supreme Court will hear oral arguments a month later over Arizona's crackdown on illegal immigration, which isn't considered as strict as Alabama's.

Republicans who supported the crackdown had said they hoped the tough provisions ? which made it difficult if not impossible to legally find work and housing, among other things ? would force people to "self-deport" and move out of the state.

Among those who self-deported were Verenece Flores and her husband. They sold their home in metro Birmingham and moved with their three young children to Chicago. But the couple, originally from Mexico and living in the U.S. without legal documents, also could not find work, and relatives told them people weren't being deported after traffic stops as some had feared.

The family is staying with relatives and doesn't have their own place, and Flores remains "a little scared" of the law. But she said she was happy to be back. Flores had lived here for 15 years before the short move to Chicago, and her children are happier and her husband is back working construction jobs.

"I missed everything about it ? friends, family, the weather," Flores said. She knows two more families that left Alabama for Washington state only to return.

Estela Fuentes said friends of hers moved to Atlanta because the law required that public schools verify the citizenship status of students, yet they returned late last month after learning courts had put that section of the law on hold. The family was sad throughout its exile to Georgia, she said through a translator.

"One of their daughters cried and cried because she had no friends over there," said Fuentes, who is originally from El Salvador.

And while there are families returning, some officials say they haven't heard anything to suggest the numbers are huge. Zayne Smith, an immigration attorney with the nonprofit Alabama Appleseed legal center in Montgomery, said she had been hearing that some people wanted to wait until after the 11th Circuit considers the case in March.

State agriculture officials who say the new law led to a chronic shortage in agricultural labor said they haven't seen evidence of large numbers of immigrants returning to the state. Many immigrants worked in the state's poultry processing plants or out in tomato fields, planting and harvesting crops.

Gwen Ferreti, a researcher and activist in the Hispanic community, said some immigrants remain wary but are coming back because of their deep ties to the state.

"The initial fear about the law was that people would literally being rounded up or you'd be stopped just for being Hispanic," said Ferreti, an anthropologist from the University of Texas who is living in Tuscaloosa, about 60 miles southwest of Birmingham, for her studies. "That has not happened, but people are aware that racial profiling is going on if you are Hispanic. They are still uneasy." ? ?? ????
